Media Experience
Clare is an award-nominated journalist who covered every type of news story from local, State, and National politics and budget lock-ups, to crime scene live updates, natural disasters, Centrelink fraudsters, the arts, and war.
She began her career in the fast-paced world of radio as a reporter and program producer for Australia’s leading talk back station 2GB.
She moved into television news at Nine News in Sydney before relocating to Brisbane to produce A Current Affair.
She understands what journalists want and the lengths some will go to for an exclusive or surprise ‘doorstop’ interview. Clare knows how the media works, how to speak to the media that connects with the audience, and manage difficult questions in interviews.
She also knows how to produce videos and social media content to ensure you get as much leverage as possible from a public relations campaign.
Corporate Communications
After telling the stories she wanted to tell, Clare took her skills to the world of communications to work as a corporate affairs advisor and media spokesperson for RACQ, one of Australia’s busiest corporate media teams.
Her time at RACQ means she has an in-depth understanding of why corporate messaging and media policies are so important.
