Adoni Media 2022: A Year in Review
2022 has been a milestone year for Adoni Media.
From celebrating our 10-year anniversary of the PR Agency being launched, to opening a new Brisbane office, to a year of record growth and client wins.
A huge thank you to all of our PR partners and clients who we have helped promote and protect through our media training, public relations campaigns, crisis management, and video production this past year.
As we prepare for another busy year in 2023, we’ve taken a look back at some of the highlights of Adoni’s 2022.
10-year anniversary
Marking a decade in business was one of our proudest moments in 2022.
Founder and Managing Director, Leisa Goddard, has built an independent PR Agency on referrals and reputation. It’s a major achievement with some of our very first clients still working with us 10 years on. Referrals have also helped underpin some of the exceptional growth we’ve experienced this year.
Leisa also received some well-deserved recognition when she was named as a finalist in the 2022 B&T Women in Media Awards.
Global clients
Among the corporate and high-profile organisations to join Adoni in 2022 was the world’s largest law firm, Quinn Emanuel, as they launched a hotel quarantine class action against the Victorian Government.
The class action is seeking compensation for the tens of thousands of Victorian businesses that suffered financial loss because of Victoria’s second lockdown.
Major announcements
Throughout 2022, we helped launch numerous new infrastructure and expansion projects, including the Port of Bundaberg and a major announcement to expand Senex’s natural gas operation in Queensland’s Surat Basin.
The Senex campaign reached tens of millions of people and achieved media coverage worth more than $4 Million.
Brand launches
A fun brand launch to welcome WA favourite, Chicken Treat, to the east coast. The popular fast-food franchise opened its first Sydney store at Eastern Creek and headlining the media coverage was Seven Sunrise, putting the brand on a national stage.
Founder and Managing Director, Leisa Goddard, was back to keeping her TV breakfast hours to be on location for the mammoth 4-hour shoot followed up by newspaper, radio, and online coverage. Even WA Premier, Mark McGowan, was involved.
Supporting industry bodies
The Adoni team was engaged in a number of reactive PR strategies throughout the year. One of the most high-profile, Federal Government intervention in the gas market and campaigns against cost-of-living.
Industry chiefs and corporate leaders were regularly required to be key media spokespeople and provide background and context on policy change that affects all Australians.
Helping charities
Throughout 2022, Adoni continued its long-standing commitment to supporting charities around Australia. Each year Adoni works with The Salvation Army to raise awareness of their Red Shield and Christmas Appeals. The team also works with other charities that help homeless children and youth.
Promoting the arts
Before the curtain went up on major shows at QPAC, Adoni’s production team was behind the scenes filming the highlights and interviewing stars for Video News Releases. The VNRs helped TV news reporters put stories to air and create excitement (and ticket sales). Shows included Disney’s Frozen and Mary Poppins.
Raising awareness
Government funding and stakeholder relationships are key to the success of many critical health care services and media coverage is a great way to acknowledge those partnerships.
For another year, Adoni was there to help launch another important truck for Heart of Australia bringing vital lung screening services to people in the bush who can’t travel hundreds of kilometres to see medical specialists in the cities.
PR Partnerships
International public speaking brand, TEDx Brisbane, partnered with Adoni for the first time to promote the event and it was a perfect fit for a team who uses media training to help people feel confident in telling their story.
Expansion
2022 also marked the year we added two new staff members to our Brisbane team, Clara Wallace and Thea Blaskovich, and welcomed Heather Loomes as a Melbourne PR consultant.
As we celebrate 10 years, Adoni also opened a new Brisbane CBD office. The relocation signalling the beginning of an exciting new era for Adoni as we look forward to another 10 years of successful PR campaigns, media training sessions, crisis management, and video production projects for our clients.
